Coming back...again

So remember that one time that I made a blogging come back and well I never really came back?

See previous post from 2013...

Well it's happening again y'all!

Things have been a little busy. Like you know, having a baby and buying a home and you know, just living life...outside of the internets.

But you know what? I have stuff to say. I have recipes to share. I have family memories to document.
Plus I have really cute kids to show off!

Introducing little miss Hadley!

She was born in December and steals the heart of everyone she encounters. It's the blue eyes, I think.

She's totally in love with her big brother. BIG being the keyword because good grief he has grown up!

Of course a pool picture. We do live in Florida!

These two... Good grief!

Stay tuned, y'all!

Guess who's back?!

SURPRISE!!!

Hey girl hey! Betcha didn't think I was coming back did ya?

We were a little busy this summer with swimming basically every free moment we had, eating a TON of watermelon and the usual work/school stuff. Oh and I went on a cruise to Mexico with my co-workers, no big deal! AND this crazy kid turned three. What???

Holy cow.

Anyway, I have missed the blogging world and I'm excited to start posting again! Plus, fall is coming! It might be 90 degrees here in Florida still but pumpkin everything is officially on the shelves and Halloween candy has been out for a few weeks now! Yay!

So today I am going to leave you with this video that has been in my Facebook newsfeed at least 4 times a day for the past few days.

#hilarious.

An update that has been way overdue!

Oh hey there strangers! I know, I know. It has been almost a month since I have posted anything. Honestly? Things have been pretty busy and I just haven't had anything to say or any good recipes to post. If I had my own hashtag it would be #worstbloggerever.

So what has been going on with us, I know you are all dying to know. Well...

I took 7 weeks off from running because of a self diagnosis of stress fractures, just call me Dr. Jenni... When I decided to start back I decided I needed some real shoes and not just the cute ones I found at Kohls. And a friend recommended that I go check out this store so I went downtown to a local running store called "Run With It." They watched me walk and measured me and put me in a pair of real shoes. She actually told me the ones I was wearing were not good for running, like at all. So I ended up with these bad boys...

Best shoes ever. I absolutely love them!

I have also become obsessed with Duck Dynasty. Funniest show on the planet. Like seriously it is HILARIOUS and always makes me happy, happy, happy. And I'm hearing that you can get some of Si's tea cups at Bass Pro so I'm thinking I might be making a trip there to get some. Hey Jack!

We picked strawberries in the little town my grandparents live in. The place is called Akers of Strawberries and it is in Baker. It is always so much fun! Plus they have THE BEST strawberry frozen yogurt and strawberry short cake!

I was also busy saying goodbye to my Corolla...

Because, I got a brand new CAMRY!

Top is me at 16 with my new car, bottom was a couple of weeks ago! What a difference 7 years can make!

I still feel like they are going to call any minute and be like "Hey bring us our Camry, you can have your Corolla back!" If you are looking for a new car in the Fort Walton area, I highly recommend Quality Imports! They were awesome! Our salesman listened to everything we wanted/needed and pointed us in the right direction and made things quick and simple! We had intended on just looking but we were able to get an awesome deal that we couldn't pass up!

Oh, and can we talk about how next Friday Brody is going to be three?! Where the heck have these past three years gone?

We are super excited to celebrate his birthday next weekend with all of our family!

I am also still working on going through all of my starred posts on Google Reader. Except I'm sort of over it and might give up on that soon.

That is all I have for today y'all. If you want to hear about my decision to formula feed Brody whenever he was born you can head over to Wifessionals to see what I have to say!

Easter recap (lots of pictures!)

Let's take a second to breathe. Because I feel like that is all I have had extra time to do lately. I had a week off from work for Spring Break and I did some major Spring cleaning and had a yard sale, which I will discuss in another post.

But today I am going to recap our Easter in pictures. We went to my grandparents house in Baker for some yummy food and egg hunting.

First of all, can we talk about how this little guy is not so little anymore?

He ran right up to the Easter Bunny and jumped in his lap and said "CHEESE!!!!"

We dyed eggs with Brody's cousin's.

We made a huge mess...

We took a break for pizza and stickers.

The Easter Bunny came to visit! And she almost got caught! Mental note: make sure the bunny comes the night before, no matter how tired you are!

We ate eggs for breakfast...

We made a pit stop on our way so Daddy could help out with our friends AC. And had to have a necessary juice break.

We hunted Easter eggs.

Spring Break: Bologna, Beer, and Publix

Spring break is in full force around these parts. Like, straight up trashing mansions and all.

I couldn't help but laugh whenever I read the article.

I used to work at Walmart in Destin and the Spring Break crowd was always the most entertaining. I was usually asked about places to eat and where to go but I could always tell the people that were here to just party and the ones that were here to enjoy some time off from school on the beach with friends and not worrying about a Physics exam. I wish I had a dollar for all the groups that would come in and buy multiple buggies full of beer, and when I would ask them where they were planning on eating out while they were here the response was always, "We just spent all of our money on beer, we don't need food." Then there was the groups that would buy loaves of bread and packages of bologna with their beer, at least they had intentions of eating?

'Merica.

Y'all, make good choices. And remember, just because it is a tourist-y area, we still have to live here after you leave.

Ugh, when did I become such a grown up?

Anyway, yesterday while I was at work I got one of those calls again... You know the "Jenni, your daycare is on the phone" call. Yay. So off I went to pick up Brody and take him to the doctor only to find out he has a super bad ear infection, again, two months later.

Fast forward an hour and we were roaming Publix waiting on his medicine. I am in love with Publix, the people that work there are always SUPER nice and helpful. Every time I go the bagger always offers to unload my buggy and help me out to the car. Of course we still had to pick up his medicine so I declined the offer but it is always nice to go somewhere that people want to help you out instead of run you over because you are in their way in the middle of Walmart. The prices are a little higher, ok some stuff is a lot higher (15.99$ for a jar of almond butter... no thank you!), but the service makes it worth it!

Napping after Publix with a few "friends" to keep watch.

OH, and this happened yesterday while we were at Publix, literally like not even a quarter of a mile from where we were.

So, today we are playing with "Monster Jam's" and watching Wreck it Ralph. I am off work next week for Spring Break so I guess you could say I got to start my vacation a day early, but I am super grateful for my awesome co-workers who are working without me today and picking up my slack, you guys are the bomb!

That is all I have for now, y'all! Have a wonderful Thursday!
