Spring Break: Bologna, Beer, and Publix
Spring break is in full force around these parts. Like, straight up trashing mansions and all.
I couldn't help but laugh whenever I read the article.
I used to work at Walmart in Destin and the Spring Break crowd was always the most entertaining. I was usually asked about places to eat and where to go but I could always tell the people that were here to just party and the ones that were here to enjoy some time off from school on the beach with friends and not worrying about a Physics exam. I wish I had a dollar for all the groups that would come in and buy multiple buggies full of beer, and when I would ask them where they were planning on eating out while they were here the response was always, "We just spent all of our money on beer, we don't need food." Then there was the groups that would buy loaves of bread and packages of bologna with their beer, at least they had intentions of eating?
'Merica.
Y'all, make good choices. And remember, just because it is a tourist-y area, we still have to live here after you leave.
Ugh, when did I become such a grown up?
Anyway, yesterday while I was at work I got one of those calls again... You know the "Jenni, your daycare is on the phone" call. Yay. So off I went to pick up Brody and take him to the doctor only to find out he has a super bad ear infection, again, two months later.
Fast forward an hour and we were roaming Publix waiting on his medicine. I am in love with Publix, the people that work there are always SUPER nice and helpful. Every time I go the bagger always offers to unload my buggy and help me out to the car. Of course we still had to pick up his medicine so I declined the offer but it is always nice to go somewhere that people want to help you out instead of run you over because you are in their way in the middle of Walmart. The prices are a little higher, ok some stuff is a lot higher (15.99$ for a jar of almond butter... no thank you!), but the service makes it worth it!

Napping after Publix with a few "friends" to keep watch.
OH, and this happened yesterday while we were at Publix, literally like not even a quarter of a mile from where we were.
So, today we are playing with "Monster Jam's" and watching Wreck it Ralph. I am off work next week for Spring Break so I guess you could say I got to start my vacation a day early, but I am super grateful for my awesome co-workers who are working without me today and picking up my slack, you guys are the bomb!
That is all I have for now, y'all! Have a wonderful Thursday!

Google, you suck!
So I feel like I am the only one who hasn't posted about this Google drama. Honestly, I thought it was a big joke and I was waiting for them to be like JUST KIDDING, LOL! Reader was the first computer thing I figured out all on my own with out Ben's help. I am really not the best with computers and their happenings, so please don't laugh at me.
Anyway, I first started using it to follow all of my favorite food blogs and as a place to "star" recipes I wanted to try. Needless to say, I have thousands of posts to go through and to get pinned, so that they don't just disappear. Thank you Google! You are now on my crap list!
So I am off to start that madness... and do laundry.
Yay.
But, you should head on over and follow A Dash of Sunshine on bloglovin' so you can still keep up with me!

A little Saturday inspiration!
Just a quick hello this morning!
I'm giving away some ad space over on Scattered Seashells today, so go check it out!
I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday! I am off to watch Spy Kids with Brody for the 13th time in the past 24 hours. Poor kid has got 2 molars coming in on the top and has already had a major meltdown this morning.

Monster Jam in Pensacola!
It's no secret, Brody has an obsession with monster trucks... and garbage trucks, air planes, and motorcycles. Typical boy. So whenever I got an email a few months ago saying that "Monster Jam is coming to Pensacola!" I told Ben we just had to go!
Brody is also obsessed with watching videos on Youtube. He goes through different phases but it is always the same ones. We have seen every single garbage truck ever made, Spy Kids in German, and Monster Jam tributes to Grave Digger at least 100 times this week.
So yesterday we made the hour long trek to Pensacola to see Grave Digger himself. Which by the way, we sat right next to where he was parked whenever he wasn't driving! Brody was stoked.
Backdraft in action!
Cotton Candy!
I wish I had gotten more pictures of the trucks "in-action" but it was crazy loud and I was covering Brody's ears anytime the trucks were going. There was an intermission and I tried to go find some earmuffs that they were selling but I couldn't find any. But we did end up with some cotton candy and a grave digger toy!
We will be going to more Monster Jam shows in the future but I will make sure we bring some ear plugs! And I really want to go see it at a bigger arena. The Pensacola Civic Center is a little small for something like this, and I feel like the trucks were limited as to what "tricks" they could do.
We ended up going to see some friends that were in town in Crestview after the show and Brody was out before we even hit the interstate!
Definitely a successful day!
